At each destination we get to see and taste local specialities, from the unusual like Giant Mekong Catfish, raw prawns in lime juice, and sweet and sour crocodile, to better known dishes like Thai Fried Noodles (Pad Thai) and Green Curry with Chicken (Gaeng Kheo Wan Gal). Threaded throughout the series we join groups of travellers and tourists as they take part in the cookery classes held by Sompon and Elizabeth Nabnian at the Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School; and learn how to do things 'The Thai Way'. Internationally, Thai cooking is gaining popularity year on year. The country itself is one of the fastest-growing tourists spots.
